| | "Five Years" ~ Bowie | ] | Ladies, if you want a piece of this, you must have the following:
An impenetrable lust for Fantasy movies. Play videogames. A good bit. Somewhat unshitty music taste. Love Lord of the Rings as much as I do. No more, No less! Probably be an artists of some form or another. Enjoy foreign (and definitely Japanese) films. Love Queen and David Bowie. At least think metal is KIND OF sweet. Please? GEEK. A HOT GEEK. Understand the genius in films like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Labyrinth, Legend, the Omen, and other movies that dumb people don't like. Sit with me on a roof and watch the sunset. Often.
And most important of all...
Be as much of a Goober as I.
If you qualify for this position, please meet me AYE SAP.
Thanks,
Deathwing. |

| | "Kimi ga matteirukara" ~ Gackt | ] | So I finally saw the copy of Azumi I got at DragonCon. It was a very entertaining drama. It wasn't thematically saturated, but it was damn fun, and I liked it a lot! Not to mention Aye Ueto is one of the most beautiful women on the planet. I want to marry her, and if possible, Alison from Project Runway.
Speaking of Project Runway... I AM SO GLAD VINCENT AND ANGELA CAME BACK ONLY TO SUCK AGAIN. What a waste of time. And Kayne is gone. I'm pretty bummed about that, as I think the final three should be Michael (who will win, due to high levels of AMAZING) Jeff, and Kayne. Mehhhh. I just want Jeff to be there because his final lineup will be really really cool.
I am playing Final Fantasy IX and Chrono Trigger again. I just want to play videogames and watch FLCL forever now. I can't stop listening to the Pillows albums Laura got me. You should listen to them too.
Edit: 2 New Azumi icons. Ukiha was my favorite character.
more Edit: Here is dragonCon summed up in one photo.

| | "Farewell" | ] | If you live in Athens and you did not at least go sit outside and listen to Boris, then we pretty much can't be friends anymore.
It was easily my favorite show. I keep saying that because every show keeps getting topped by the next. What a great year.
I also found my Rock Goddess. Her name is Wata, and she looks like an angel and shreds like a demon straight from hell. She looked right into my eyes during the set and I was pretty much terrified because of how stoic she was. I wish the vocals were up more, I could bearly hear them, but fuck man.
I got the CD of Pink and the LP. Now to sleep. |

| | Chrono Cross OST | ] | Okay so, I saw Tale of Two Sisters.
It was beautiful and so well made, but to me, that does not make a film. I personally see film as a medium for change/expression. The film had a very unique and interesting premise, but there wasn't much thematic depth to the film. For this reason, I have to say I was unimpressed. It was amazing, but lacked a vital aspect of film in my opinion. Everything else was astounding, but to me it was made to show off a cool/weird plotline and nothing else.
So don't throw things at me guys. I know you all loved it. It just isn't my type of film. It's the same reason I hate Reservior Dogs.
But the good news is that Battle Royale is still amazing. |

| Life is a Fight |
[Aug. 27th, 2006|02:00 am] |
I want to say that tonight was one of the most important moments of my life. I don't think anyone of the members of Life is a Fight realizes what a fucking honest, amazing band they were a part of. I don't think you guys realize how important your music and your friendship is to so many different people. I've never had a show mean more to me than this show. It's really fucking hard to realize that I will never see a group of musicians that I love so much bring such honesty to the table. I will never have members of an important music group be so influential on me individually. I want you guys to know that you are all some of the most important people to me, and I hope I can do what you have done for me for other younger kids as I grow older. The screamo curse is lame, but the album will really become an album that screamo fans will fucking bring up instantly when stating favorite bands, eventaullly. I screamed throughout the entire set. I put all of myself into that last show. I hope I can experience something like that again one day.
Thank you guys. Don't lose touch. |

| | "FURY OF THE STORM" BY MOTHERFUCKING DRAGONFORCE | ] | Things are a lot better. I got a script idea worked out, and it's low budget, so I'll write it this year and hopefully make it before I graduate.
It's mainly about a boy in his summer before college, and the apathy of youth in politics due to moral ambiguity. He eventually learns to find comfort in small things in his life, rather than striving for dreams, or being distressed with the current state of his life.
It should have some really pretty imagery and draw a lot from My Sassy Girl/FLCL.
Another movie idea is also in the works. The main character is pretty much Jace. |

I'll do a review later this week when I have time, but for now, I will let everyone know that Snakes on a Plane was indeed one of the funniest damn things I have ever seen. Just be sure to cheer when snakes kill things. Or be really drunk. |
